What is EduBirdie

Edubirdie is one of the well-known brands that many students have already used and not even once. But no matter how good it was a few years ago, with so many services appearing on the market every week, it should constantly be getting better to stay competitive. In this edubirdie review, I am going to check how the company is working right now (especially with the increase of orders during the pandemic), check the quality of papers, compare prices and provide detailed feedback on all important aspects.

My Experience Using EduBirdie

My experience with Edubirdie was more than just negative: for example, the quality. I placed an order for an essay in Literature with no specific topic or requirements. I assigned the cheapest writer, and he delivered my paper on time (no questions here). However, the paper looked really bad: no logical structure, no proper formatting (I indicated APA), many grammatical mistakes and typos, not mentioning my impression that the text was written by a non-native English speaker. Is edubirdie scam? No, they did their job and delivered the paper. But it wasn`t the paper I ordered: it was a piece of… you know what. I sent it for a revision and had to wait extra two days until it was edited and proofread.

Pricing and Deadlines

When you enter the website, you can see a lot of useful information but not the prices. The fact is that there is no specific pricing policy. The company applies a bidding system: the customer places an order, and writers place bids on it so that the best one wins. Such a system is really inconvenient as you have no opportunity to compare prices with other companies (of course, you can negotiate it with a writer, but you still cannot be sure that you received the best deal). I placed an order for a one-page essay in Literature with a deadline of two weeks and at once received two bids: $16 and $21.

Both bids are way too high compared to average costs on the market ($10-12). On the home page, there is a notice that the price starts at $13.99, but if you scroll a bit down, you will see other information: just $18 per page. I think this is really weird. Besides, you can also choose a premium writer (+10% to the total cost) and platinum writer (+20% to your order). The company can also pick the best writer for you for the additional $10 fee (many services match relevant writers absolutely for free though).

Edubirdie provides a referral program: you receive $25 for the invited friend while this friend gets 10% off their first order. This is not a profitable deal compared to other companies that offer 10% of all the orders your friend places, which is much more than $25.

The service has all the necessary guarantees mentioned in terms and conditions: I would say, too detailed guarantees. For example, you can see different cases when you can get a 100% moneyback guarantee, when you can count on 70% and 50%, and when there is nothing you will get. Besides, the company offers 30% compensation for the order if it was of bad quality or if the deadline was missed, but you still downloaded and used the paper or some of its parts. Edubirdie provides unlimited free revisions, although I didn`t find any information officially proving this statement.

Online Reputation

On the website, you can see its own rating and also ratings on TrustPilot and SiteJabber (4.5 and 4.4). In fact, on these resources, the ratings are much lower (4.4 and 3.9), and Trustpilot even states that it doesn`t recommend dealing with this company. The feedback about Edubirdie Reddit provides is also negative, just like edubirdie reviews placed on Quora. You can read quite positive customers` feedback on the website itself, but there is no proof that these reviews are real and not written by someone to increase the rating and trust for this writing service.

Customer Support

Just like reviews on Quora state, customer support really sucks but let`s start from the beginning. Is edubirdie legit? Yes, the company is owned by I3 TECHNOLOGY Ltd. with an office in Bulgaria. On the website, you can find contact numbers, email, and live chat to reach customer support if necessary. There are also accounts for social networks to receive more information about the service. However, none of the numbers is working: I called a few times but received no reply.

Writing to the email address is useless: nobody replies, just like in a live chat. I finally reached a customer support representative within two hours to resolve an issue with my paper. He was extremely unfriendly and almost rude and didn`t help me with my problem. This is absolutely unacceptable level of service.

Summing up my review, all I have to say is: please, don`t use this service. Even if they were the best a few years ago, now the level of service is terrible, and the pricing is too high.

No, they have all the necessary guarantees, and they delivered my paper as promised (with low quality, though).

The website is owned by I3 TECHNOLOGY Ltd. based in Bulgaria.

Yes, the service uses 3D secure payments and has a clear privacy policy.

Yes, it does. But not for all customers.
