What is Edugenie.net?

Edugenie is a rushed clone of Expertgenie, an equally shoddy essay mill. Both belong to a Gibraltar-based BrainUp Limited. And while the clones share the same first-order discount, the Edugenie prices are a bit higher. Besides, Edugenie has only been around for less than a year. For other unpleasant surprises, keep reading my Edugenie.net review.

PapersLead price list
Pros
15% off the first order;
Lots of premium add-ons.
Cons
No Edugenie.net reviews on SiteJabber or Trustpilot;
Sloppy clone of another BrainUp essay mill;
Poor writing with no substance;
Vague refund and revision terms.

Edugenie.net website & app usability

Despite its sloppy design, the website is easy to navigate, and the order form is pretty intuitive. So my main issue is with the owner’s inability to come up with fresh ideas. Besides, there are no Android and iOS apps, which would have made the order process smoother.

List of Services Provided

EduGenie provides academic writing services for high school and postgrad students alike. The most popular services include essays, coursework, capstone projects, theses, and dissertations. However, the company can also take care of

  • Formatting
  • Paraphrasing
  • Proofreading

My experience using Edugenie.net

I ordered a 4-page-long Psychology essay on the nature of altruism. I needed an argumentative piece proving that pure altruism was impossible due to the innate selfishness of human nature. And while the writer stayed on topic, they did not offer a convincing argument. Instead, each passage regurgitated the same basic idea, using different words and no support by reference data. It felt like the writer ran the same paragraph through an online paraphraser multiple times, and each time it became less coherent. I could summarize 1,000 words of it in a single sentence, it was that bland and useless.

Edugenie.net writers

The company gives no promises about the writers beyond their degrees and familiarity with different academic tasks. So even if the writer I got was incompetent, I can’t complain about the service lying to me. I should have been more careful reading the homepage.

Plagiarism review

I used Grammarly to run a quick plagiarism check, and it returned 7% similarities, which isn’t bad. Still, I’m sure Turnitin would produce a much lower originality percentage if I were to try it.

Features review

Some add-ons could be useful, like a plagiarism report ($14.99) or a 1-page summary ($24.99). Others were weird, like quality check ($18.36) or high-priority status ($9.99). But I was most confused by the free “Simple language” feature that only made sense after I got the paper. At a guess, the ESL writers use simple English as a default and then replace basic terms with thesaurus synonyms to make the essays look smarter.

Pricing and deadlines

Before we look at the Edugenie.net prices, let me say that the 1-hour deadline seems completely unrealistic, even for short high school papers, so I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money on an urgent order. Otherwise, the pricing policy is pretty standard, with higher rates for advanced academic levels and shorter deadlines.

Promo codes & discounts

I got 15% off my first order with a promo code FIRST15 without sharing my email first. Besides, the company runs a loyalty program, adding one bonus for every dollar or euro you spend on essays, which you can then use to pay for future orders.

Edugenie.net login & paper ordering procedure

I had no trouble placing an order for this review for Edugenie.net. The whole process was streamlined if a bit heavy on upsells.

  1. Fill in basic paper information
  2. Provide your email and phone number
  3. Add paper specifics
  4. Choose extra features
  5. Transfer the payment

Payment Options

The order form offered two payment options: credit/debit card and alternative payment. The latter turned out to include wire transfer options for several popular European banks in Germany, France, the Netherlands, and other EU countries.

Guarantees

I wasted half an hour wading through the revision and refund terms, and I only know one thing for sure. If Edugenie is late delivering the paper, they will refund the difference to your store credit, which seems unfair. In all other cases, such as low quality or plagiarism, you’ll need solid proof to get either a revision or a refund.

Online reputation

EduGenie does not have an online reputation. The ratings I saw on the homepage were fake, as there were zero reviews on Sitejabber and Trustpilot. And the real Reviews.io rating was 4.5 instead of 4.8. I guess the design team cloned the homepage from ExpertGenie and didn’t bother to replace the numbers.

PapersLead refund policy

And I didn’t find any positive Edugenie.net Reddit reviews either. Even considering the website has been around for less than a year, it’s a pathetic result.

Social Media

I can’t share much about Edugenie.net rating on social media because I didn’t find any. Although there was a Facebook account under the same name, it belonged to an early childhood development center, not this writing service.

Customer support

Customer support is fast to respond to new users, but they don’t like uncomfortable questions about revisions and refunds. I had to wait a few minutes every time I sent a complaint, and most times, I got empty platitudes in response. Besides, as there are no reviews of Edugenie.net, I’m not sure if they engage with unhappy customers in any way.

Conclusion

EduGenie wasted my time and money and tried my patience like no other essay mill. It’s a hollow clone of another subpar essay mill, and I suggest you steer clear of both if you need a good grade.
