The website seemed vaguely familiar, and once I realized it belonged to Cyprus-based FrogProg Limited, I realized why it reminded me so much of EssayShark. The parent company owns both mills and half a dozen clones, and the terms, writing quality, and support experience are much the same across the board. But if you’ve never used FrogProg services, this Writingcheap.com review is sure to be enlightening for you.

Before working on this review for Writingcheap.com, I ordered a 4-page informative essay for my Business and Management class. I wanted the writer to compare the changes in movie theaters’ business models in the post-pandemic world. I expected the writer to use current numbers and statistics and rely on the latest press releases and reliable news reports.

Unfortunately, the writer skipped over half of my requirements and only followed the easiest instructions. For example, they cited the number of theaters that had closed during the pandemic but did not provide current data. Moreover, the writer failed to connect the dots, so the essay turned into a list of disjointed facts and figures instead of a cohesive piece. I could use some of the data but had to rework the whole thing from the ground up to make it readable.

Although the writers’ profiles seem impressively detailed at first glance, they are devoid of useful information. Aside from stats and reviews, I got no credentials, qualifications, or writing samples. So I chose to skip the bidding step and went with the Writer Finder option that assigned the writer automatically.

I didn’t find any Writingcheap.com reviews, so I saw no complaints about plagiarism. And my quick check using Grammarly showed around 10% similarities, which was not bad.

Features review

I didn’t notice any special features or add-ons, free or premium, aside from the Writer Finder features for automatic selection of the most suitable writer.

The Writingcheap.com prices are still unclear, even after getting my paper. The homepage advertises rates as low as $9, which would substantiate the company’s name. However, the bidding process muddies the waters and makes estimates unpredictable. In the end, I paid around $20 per page, and that’s the best I can tell you. The deadlines are pretty flexible, and the shortest one is around three hours. I set it at five days and got the paper in time.

Promo codes & discounts

I found no promo codes, though the home page boldly proclaimed my price would be $9 per page instead of $13.40. I guess the bidding process makes discounts a bit tricky, though getting a first-order deal would have been nice.

WritingCheap takes getting used to, as the order process is convoluted and illogical at times. You’ll need to complete multiple steps to get the finished order:

1. Enter your email, paper type, number of pages, and deadline on the home page.
2. Check your email for an automatically generated password.
3. Provide extra paper details and instructions.
4. Check the Writer Finder box or go through the bidding stage.
5. Review order details and bottom line before adding funds to your balance.
6. Preview each of the four parts of the paper and approve it to release the funds to the writer.

Payment Options

The only payment option available is via credit or debit card. However, the funds are stored on your balance and released to the writer in four parts after you approve them. I believe this is supposed to alleviate anxiety, though it seems tedious and unnecessary.

Revision and refund terms aren’t student-friendly at all. For example, you can only request revisions before releasing the final payment. After that, you won’t get any revisions or refunds, even if you’re unhappy with the writing quality. Even late delivery does not guarantee you a partial refund. So overall, the WritingCheap guarantees don’t guarantee anything.

Although the service has been on the market for over eight years, I couldn’t locate any reviews on SiteJabber or Trustpilot. So the company’s claims of a 4.5-star rating on SiteJabber based on 222 reviews are blatantly false. And Writingcheap.com Reddit presence is non-existent as well.

Social Media

I can’t tell you much about the Writingcheap.com rating as the company doesn’t have any live profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Youtube.

Customer support leaves a lot to be desired. For one, the only way to reach a human manager before creating an account is via email. However, you can also use the Support tab on the dashboard to create a ticket once you register. I tried both ways, and each time I waited hours to receive a stock response. Though I’m not always a fan of live chat and phone calls, either of those options would have been much faster.

WritingCheap isn’t cheap; it’s poor when it comes to research and writing quality, UI design, and customer support. Their guarantees aren’t worth anything, and their reputation is based on suspicious reviews. I won’t use it again, and I recommend you stay away, too.
